I always thought that finding the best teachers was the best way to build my skills as a rider and horseman and it is a great way. But when I opened my own barn with my partner Matt my learning moved to a completely different level. Running any kind of training barn is 

Weekly we work horses up for veterinary investigations and to check horses in recovery are on the right track. Recently when working with one of the veterinarians she remarked that she has never seen a space work with such a range of shapes, sizes, types of horses. It affords us a unique lens, where rather than seeing a specific type of horse or level of rider we really do see a huge range. 

As I write this we have an International Grand Prix dressage rider and her young horse, a hunt horse from one of the UK's largest hunt yards, two babies one here to be an all rounder and another who's focus is hacking, we have a 17'3 warm blood eventer, two friesian liberty horses, a 13'2 highland and an irish sports pony. Our owners and ridders are just as varied.
